支持 Hong Kong Singers《Into the Woods》音樂劇：多元敲擊器材與現場聲效互動

本年獲邀支持香港具 95 年歷史的音樂劇藝團 Hong Kong Singers，為其演出音樂劇《Into the Woods》提供各類敲擊器材支援。由於劇目需要多變而細緻的聲效設計，器材種類繁多且配置複雜，務求為多元化的音樂劇演出提供最貼合的聲音效果。

This year, Gip Percussion were invited to support the Hong Kong Singers, a musical theatre troupe with a 95-year history, by providing various percussion instrument support for their performance of the musical "Into the Woods." Due to the need for diverse and intricate sound design in the production, a wide variety of instruments were used in complex configurations to ensure the most fitting sound effects for the diverse musical theatre performance.

總監獲邀參演｜三場演出現場支援

一連三場演出，總監 Gip Chan（陳永業）於舞池樂隊擔任敲擊樂演奏。多首樂曲需要現場與不同角色演員互動，配合劇情即時觸發聲效；數十種樂器圍繞在老師身旁，東敲西擊，真係八爪魚都未必來得及應付。Gip Sir 表示：「咁樣先係敲擊樂好玩之處！」

Director Invited to Perform | On-site Support for Three Performances

During the three performances, director Gip Chan (陳永業) served as the percussionist in the pit band. Many pieces required real-time interaction with different character actors, triggering sound effects in sync with the storyline; dozens of instruments surrounded the teacher, who was busy striking them in all directions—truly, an octopus would struggle to keep up. Gip Sir remarked, "This is what makes percussion so fun!"

器材與聲效｜為劇情而生的敲擊配置

《Into the Woods》音樂語言豐富，敲擊部分不只負責節奏，更要營造氛圍、提示動作、甚至與角色「對話」。因此器材配置需要兼顧：

• 多種音色：由細緻到爆發性的聲效層次

• 快速切換：同一段落內要即時轉換不同樂器

• 舞台互動：配合演員走位與劇情節奏，準確「落點」

Equipment and Sound Effects | Percussion Configurations Born for the Story

The musical language of "Into the Woods" is rich, and the percussion not only maintains the rhythm but also creates ambiance, cues actions, and even "converses" with characters. Therefore, the equipment configuration needs to balance:

• Diverse timbres: From delicate to explosive sound layers

• Quick switching: Instantly transitioning between different instruments within the same section

• Stage interaction: Accurately "landing" sound effects in sync with actor movements and the rhythm of the story
